ry initiative to elevate and transform Nigeria’s tea and coffee industry. Co-founded by Ukrainian Professor Nathaliya Olali and Nigerian entrepreneur Dr. H. K, Sahana Diva embodies a unique blend of international expertise and deep-rooted local insight. The concept of Sahana Diva emerged following high-level business engagements, including the Nigerian–Ukrainian Business Roundtable and subsequent global discussions such as the G8 Summit in Turkey. These engagements highlighted the untapped potential within Nigeria’s tea and coffee sector and inspired the creation of a company dedicated to its growth.

The name “Sahana Diva” is an acronym formed from carefully selected letters, representing a blend of shared vision, partnership, and innovation.

Sahana Diva was founded with a clear mandate: to develop the tea and coffee value chain across key areas including production, processing, packaging, importation, and exportation. The company also focuses on enhancing knowledge within the sector by training tea farmers, equipping them with modern agricultural practices, and providing support systems for both farmers and local processors.

As part of its operations, Sahana Diva:

● Organizes training programs for Baristas farmers and intermediaries
● Collaborates with government and non-governmental organizations
● Works closely with small-scale growers, particularly on the Mambilla Plateau
● Promotes local processing of green tea and coffee

The company has partnered with institutions such as the Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria (CRIN) to strengthen capacity and improve production standards.

Sahana Diva established its first processing and packaging center in Kakara, Mambilla Plateau, Taraba State, while its head office is located in Abuja, Nigeria.

Today, the company exports its products both locally and internationally. Its product range includes green coffee, powdered coffee, roasted coffee, honey, black tea, and green tea.

Sahanadiva Coffee & Tea Nigeria Limited has been actively involved in initiatives focused on coffee and tea production, agricultural value-chain development, capacity building, research, youth and women empowerment, trade facilitation, investment promotion, and industry development.

Coffee & Tea Farmer Empowerment and Seedling Development

Sahanadiva has undertaken community-based empowerment and sensitization activities aimed at encouraging women and youth to participate in coffee and tea production.

The initiatives provide participants with practical knowledge on nursery establishment, seed selection, seedling propagation, nursery management, transplanting, basic farm management, and the commercial opportunities available within the coffee and tea value chains.

Locations: Taraba, Plateau (Jos), Cross River (Calabar), Niger, Delta, Kaduna and other emerging coffee and tea production communities.

Coffee & Tea Plantation Development Support

We provide technical support for the establishment of coffee and tea plantations, from site preparation and seedling selection to planting and basic farm management guidance. Our service is suitable for new farmers, investors, institutions, and organizations looking to develop commercial plantations.

Industry Summits, Conferences & Investment Engagements Coffee & Tea Industry Summits and Stakeholder Engagements – 2025

Sahanadiva participated in major coffee and tea industry summits and stakeholder engagements held in Abuja, Taraba State, and Lagos, contributing to discussions around the development of Nigeria’s coffee and tea sector.

The engagements provided opportunities to connect with government institutions, investors, farmers, processors, researchers, industry associations, development partners, and other stakeholders across the value chain.

Taraba State Coffee & Tea Investment Forum – 2025

Participation in the Coffee and Tea Value-Chain Development Investment Forum in Jalingo, Taraba State, focused on promoting investment, innovation, and industrial development within Nigeria’s coffee and tea industry.

The forum brought together stakeholders to explore opportunities for production expansion, value addition, investment, research, and industrial development. The event was organized by the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) in collaboration with NACOFTAN. (360 RMRDC)

Sahanadiva’s industry engagement in Taraba aligns with broader efforts to position the state as a major destination for agricultural investment, particularly in coffee and tea. International Research & Technical Exposure

China Tea Research & Industry Study Visit

Sahanadiva participated in industry-focused research and learning visit to China, exploring advanced tea production, processing, machinery, packaging, quality management, and value-addition systems.

The visit included exposure to tea farms, processing facilities, warehouses, and tea-processing technologies, providing practical insight into international best practices that can contribute to the modernization of Nigeria’s coffee and tea value chains.

Sustainability, Traceability & EUDR Capacity Building EUDR Awareness & Compliance Engagement – February 2025

Sahanadiva participated in an EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) awareness and capacity-building programme organized under the National Coffee & Tea Association of Nigeria (NACOFTAN).

The programme, held in Abuja in February 2025, focused on emerging international sustainability, traceability, due-diligence, and market-access requirements relevant to agricultural commodities, including coffee.

The engagement strengthened our understanding of the requirements increasingly associated with accessing international markets and promoting responsible and traceable coffee and tea value chains.

Coffee Industry Development & Professional Engagement International Coffee Festival – Jos, Plateau State

Sahanadiva participated in Nigeria’s inaugural International Coffee Festival, held in Jos, Plateau State, from 28–30 August 2025.

The three-day event brought together coffee producers, investors, entrepreneurs, professionals, government representatives, international participants, and other stakeholders to promote coffee production, processing, consumption, entrepreneurship, and investment opportunities in Nigeria’s coffee industry.
